WHAT CAN WE DO ON THE WEB?
Be carefull:- You can search ON the internet. That means that you know what are you looking for. By the way ON the internet, ON the web.
- You can browse on the web when you don't kwon what are you looking for. To browse means: cursiosear, echar un vistazo... In a shop, to a book or on the web. Just watching.
- You can surf the web. We don't sail the web.
- We can watch a video on the web.
- We can pay by credit card over the Internet.
- We can look at a page or at pages.
FAMILY MATTERS

We can have problems when we are trying to introduce ourselves just translating from Spanish.
Here there are some new vocabulary that can hepls us:
- If I have the same name that my father's, I can say: I WAS NAMED (NAME) AFTER MY FATHER.
- And when my parents give me a name...: THEY NAMED (NAME) ME. But be carefull never: They named -to- me.
- If I have not brothers or sisters: I'M AN ONLY CHILD.

CATS AND THE DEW ON THE SUNFLOWER
I am posting that becouse of the vocabulary we have learnt.
When old female cat starts singing she says: "Daylight, see the dew on the sunflower..."
But what means Dew? What means Dew Barrymore's name?
DEW: ROCÍO.
MIST: NEBLINA.
ESCARCHA: FROST.
FOG: NIEBLA
SMOG: TOXIC FOG PRODUCED BY FACTORIES, CARS...
We can say: - what a foggy day!
VOCABULARY 1
- RAINY NOSE: WHEN YOUR NOSE DOESN'T STOP PRODUCING SNOT. BY THE WAY, WHEN YOU HAVE "THEM" CLIMBING AFTER SNEEZING (ESTORNUDAR) YOU HAVE A RUNNY NOSE.
- CAN/CAN'T STAND SOMETHING: IT IS WHEN YOU REALLY DONT LIKE THIS. I CAN'T STAND SMOKING, BECOUSE I'M A NOT SMOKER.
- CAN /CAN'T AFFORD SOMETHING: IT IS WHEN YOU CAN OR CAN'T PAY SOMETHING. I CAN'T AFFORD A HOUSE IN MANCHESTER. (WHAT A PITY...)
- WEALTHY VS HEALTHY. A VERY RICH PERSON IS WEALTHY. THERE ARE FEW WEALTHY PEOPLE IN RUANDA. IF YOU PRACTISE SOME SPORT, YOU DIDN'T DRINK ALCOHOL AND YOU DON'T SMOKE, CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE A HEALTHY PERSON.
- TO BELIEVE: IS TO HAVE A BELIEF (CREENCIA). I BELIEVE IN GOD, SHE BELIEVES TOO. BUT BE CAREFULL BELIEVES AND BELIEFS HAVEN'T GOT THE SAME MEANING. BY THE WAY SINS MEAN (PECADOS).
- TO GIVE UP: PLEASE GIVE UP SMOKING, IT'S SO DISGUSTING. DON'T SMOKE MORE.
